Lovell Communications Hires Decorated Journalist, Promotes Two Health Care Communications Professionals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 11, 2021) – National health care strategic communications firm Lovell Communications announced it has recruited Patrice Wilding to the firm as account supervisor. Based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Wilding brings more than 15 years of experience in media relations, professional writing and strategic marketing. The company also announced the promotion of Jessica Hopson and Natalie Simpson to new roles in the firm.

“Patrice’s extensive news background coupled with her talent for communicating with diverse health care stakeholders makes her a great asset to our clients,” said Rosemary Plorin, president and CEO of Lovell Communications. “Her ability to capture the unique voices of those we serve will empower our clients to reach their target audiences and advance their goals. We’re delighted to welcome her to our growing team.”

A journalist by training, Wilding collected numerous awards over nearly 14 years as a reporter and copy editor for Times-Shamrock Communications, including at its Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper, The Times-Tribune, and other affiliated daily, weekly and monthly publications. She was named Journalist of the Year by the Pennsylvania Women’s Press Association in 2019. Prior to joining Lovell, Wilding served as the marketing and communications content manager for The Wright Center, the nation’s largest graduate medical education and safety-net primary care consortium, spanning locations in four states on two coasts.

Hopson has been promoted to senior account supervisor and helps lead the firm’s growing digital marketing practice. Simpson has been promoted to account executive and assumes expanded account responsibilities supporting health care clients in the areas of social media engagement and management, media relations and content development.

“As we welcome new talent like Patrice, we’re also thrilled to develop and advance the careers of our existing team members,” Plorin said. “Jessica and Natalie bring important strengths and insights to growing area of our firm. We are pleased to recognize their professional development and look forward to watching them both continue to grow.”
