Senior Advisor

Now an HMA company, Lovell serves a wide range of health care clients, including integrated health systems, hospitals, post-acute and home health providers, public health organizations, health plans, suppliers, consultants and associations.

HMA Lovell has offices in Nashville, TN, and a remote team across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as senior lead for assigned clients and responsible for account direction, strategy and budget development and management.
  • Develops persuasive, multi-channel communication plans and programs to support client goals and objectives; manages internal, sub-contracted and client resources to oversee execution and performance measurement.
  • Creates complex, long-form materials for clients including strategic change communications and message platforms, white papers, speeches, presentations and collateral materials.
  • Reviews, edits and approves written communications from account team members.
  • Interfaces with members of the media on behalf of clients.
  • Develops measurable objectives and key performance indicators and is responsible for regular reporting of results to clients.
  • Contributes to the professional development of junior staff.
  • Remains current with industry news, trends and forecasts.
  • Identifies cross-selling opportunities with other practice areas or HMA member companies.
  • Participates in business development efforts and develops business proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Develops case studies, blogs and other promotional materials (for clients and agency).
  • Seeks increasing levels of responsibility for internal strategic initiatives to improve agency practices and policies, as well as team KPIs.
  • Works diligently to meet or exceed billable performance goals and assigns responsibilities to junior staff that position them to meet their goals.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field is required.

Experience

Minimum of 12 years of experience in public relations and communications within the health industry in the agency, public health or private sector. Previous experience with media relations is strongly preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
