Amanda Shephard has spent her entire career in the public health industry. Her vast experience in communications and marketing allows her clients to deliver innovative solutions to optimize health care messaging and delivery, streamline operations and improve patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Lovell, Shephard served as senior media specialist for Health Research, Inc., where her background in public health communications and passion for reaching diverse patient audiences led her to develop award-winning media campaigns, internal and external communications, crisis management efforts and strategic planning for the New York State Department of Health. Her dual expertise in both communications and marketing helped her clients successfully address numerous health care issues in the state of New York including COVID, polio and Mpox outbreaks.
Shephard has received numerous awards for her creative campaigns in the areas of marketing and communications, including a Gold Hermes Creative, Silver Muse Creative and a Silver Telly. She is active in both the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mass Communication and Psychology from the University at Albany SUNY.
When Amanda takes a break from work, you’ll find her cheering on her favorite college and NFL teams, cooking up a new recipe, or jetting off for some athletic adventure with her family.
