Targeted Media Relations and Speaking Engagements Raise Revenue Cycle Manager’s Profile

Challenge Lovell was engaged to raise the profile of Innovative Managed Care Solutions (IMACS), a provider of web-based contract management technology for hospitals and healthcare systems. Strategy and Tactics We devised a multi-pronged strategy to reach key influencers by positioning company leaders as experts within the healthcare reimbursement community and developing and leveraging a series of provider case studies, which were featured on the company’s website and served as the foundation of many successful media pitches. When IMACS was purchased by Accuro Healthcare Solutions, we expanded those efforts to include additional revenue cycle management products and support the brand evolution. Results As a result of Lovell’s work, Accuro experts and clients were selected as presenters at premier industry events such as the HFMA and NAHAM annual conferences. Additionally, Lovell provided Accuro with a heightened media and online presence by securing bylined articles and ongoing coverage (including several cover stories) in targeted trade publications such as hfm magazine, HealthLeaders, Healthcare Finance News and Health Data Management. As a result of these efforts, reporters and editors began to seek out Accuro sources for content and commentary on a variety of healthcare finance topics.
