Assistant Account Executive

Our Assistant Account Executives (AAEs) are vital members of our account teams, supporting efforts such as social media management, media monitoring, content development, KPI measurement and client reporting. In recent years, 100% of our AAEs have experienced professional growth and have been promoted within our organization.

Publicly traded companies, not-for-profit systems, early-stage and mature companies draw upon our vast communications expertise to support them through phases – or just moments – when it’s crucial to persuade audiences or influence decision-makers.

We’re enjoying a period of sustained growth and are seeking talented candidates for the position of Assistant Account Executive.

DAILY Responsibilities of an AAE include:

  • Drafting content such as social media posts, press releases, media pitches, blog content, internal communications, etc.
  • Preparing and executing email campaigns
  • Maintaining content updates on client and agency websites
  • Pulling backend analytics reports (from social media platforms, email service providers, Google analytics, etc.) and interpreting data to prepare internal and client-ready reports
  • Reviewing media coverage and preparing client reports
  • Researching media outlets (using Cision) and preparing client media lists
  • Monitoring HARO, Profnet and other sources for potential media opportunities


Qualifications/Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or related field
  • Relevant internship(s) or work experience in public relations or marketing
  • Strong communications and writing skills; knowledge of AP style
  • Interest and understanding of social media and other communications platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to conduct thorough, efficient online research
  • Creative and energetic personality
