We're looking for a skilled health care communications strategist to join our Issues Management Practice!

OVERVIEW

Lovell Communications, one of the nation’s leading health care public relations firms, is growing its Issues Management Practice and seeking a skilled health care communications strategist and writer.

Successful candidates will have exceptional writing and communications skill and demonstrated expertise in supporting health care organizations experiencing crisis, challenge or change.

POSITION

Title and salary will be based on experience level and skillset.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of relevant health care work experience (preferably in the provider, corporate health care or agency environment)
  • Proven experience in health care crisis communications
    • Developing crisis response messaging and multi-channel communications strategy
    • Coordinating with internal and external counsel such as legal, compliance, quality and government affairs
    • Managing internal and client resources to execute communication plans
    • Managing and responding to media and other inbound inquiries
    • Mitigating reputational harm and developing crisis recovery programs/efforts
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives on strategic issues
  • Experience interfacing responsively with members of the media
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
  • Strong references to attest to an excellent track record of strategy development, execution and project management
  • Candidates with experience in providing transaction communications support will receive preferred consideration:
    • Working knowledge of basic transaction processes
    • Experience in developing or contributing to transaction messaging and communications plans
    • Ability to understand the concerns and interests of relevant audiences and anticipate barriers to success
