ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR

The Account Supervisor is as a key team member at Lovell, particularly in the area of project management. This role regularly interfaces with both clients and account team members, contributing to strategy development, research, execution and monitoring of campaigns and communications initiatives for our clients across the country. Internally, Account Supervisors also support the development of junior staff members and help manage internal initiatives. This role supports clients across the country and contributes to projects across HMA member companies.

 

HMA Lovell has offices in Nashville, TN, though this is a remote position.

Daily Responsibilities of an Account Supervisor

  1. Produces a wide range of content for clients including media statements, bylined content, social media content, newsletters, internal communications and related projects.
  2. Conducts research to support client strategy; contributes to communication plan and campaign development.
  3. Helps amplify client thought leadership and branding efforts with social media and digital strategy development and execution.
  4. Leads or participates in client calls; prepares meeting agendas and reports to ensure client needs are understood and met.
  5. Manages monthly reporting for respective clients and projects, including KPI measurement reports.
  6. Applies current and emerging business trends to support client needs and generate appropriate strategies.
  7. Assists senior colleagues in staffing projects, assigning team responsibilities, identifying potential crisis situations for clients, and advising budget issues.
  8. Provides constructive editing and instructive feedback to account team members and junior colleagues.
  9. Works diligently to meet billable performance goals and monitor account team performance.
  10. Supports business development efforts, new client intake and onboarding, and CRM maintenance.
  11. Represents the firm at high-profile industry and community events as appropriate.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write and edit for content, strategy, voice, and style.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategy.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient understanding of health care and communications industry practices.
  • Proficient project management capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in public relations and communications within the health industry in the agency, public health or private sector. Social media and digital marketing experience is strongly preferred.
