With more than 20 years of public relations experience, Susan Morgenstern serves Lovell Communications clients with the dedication of a committed professional. Her areas of expertise include strategic communications planning and crisis and issues management.
Her crisis and issues management experience covers many industry sectors, including healthcare, retail, hospitality, restaurants and manufacturing. She has assisted in many types of situations: highly publicized litigation, mergers and acquisitions, multi-site layoffs, closing of facilities, accidental workplace violence and deaths, food-borne illnesses, infectious diseases, allegations of discrimination and harassment, targeted protests by activist groups and product recalls.
An experienced public speaker, Morgenstern coaches clients through media and presentation training. Her corporate communications experience includes employee communications, community relations and news media relations. She is accomplished at production of marketing and collateral materials of all types, as well as broadcast, interactive and web site content.
Before joining Lovell, Morgenstern was a Senior Vice President at DVL public relations, where she worked in crisis management and corporate communications with a variety of clients. She was also news editor at the Nashville Banner daily newspaper. She is an honors graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Journalism and served four years in the United States Air Force.
Morgenstern is a former director of the Southeastern District of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and serves on the Advisory Board for the Nashville Area Command of the Salvation Army.
