After extensive keyword research we determined the specific SEO strategies to place the Lovell.com website in the top three results for all targeted Nashville keyword sets and on the first page of major search engine results for more difficult national keyword sets. Keyword sets included Nashville PR and Nashville Public Relations. National targets included Public Relations Agencies, Public Relations Firms, Healthcare Marketing and Crisis Communication. A secondary goal was to increase Lovell website traffic by maximizing mentions on popular news websites as well as highly trafficked blogs and throughout social media.
Strategy and Tactics
The team developed a list of top news websites, popular blogs and social media experts that covered subjects surrounding the targeted keywords. They then implemented strategies and online outreach to acquire mentions and backlinks from these online sources.
Mission accomplished: The Lovell website achieved its goals. All Nashville specific keyword sets returned the Lovell website in the top three results in major search engines. National keywords sets returned Lovell on the homepage of many major search engines, especially Google. At one point, Lovell.com was the top result when the term Public Relations Agency was entered into the Yahoo! and Bing search engines. Over a three month period, website traffic increased by more than 200%. Lovell’s content was featured on popular websites such as Entrepreneur.com, American Express’ Open Forum and PR Daily’s News Feed. Many new clients mentioned having discovered the Lovell Communications’ website from online searches. The website continues to rise in the search engine rankings to this day.
